I’m YuTing, a product designer with a Master’s in Human Computer interaction at the Indiana University of Bloomington.
🧠 I am someone shaped by kindness, reflection, and responsiveness. My parents taught me the value of treating others with genuine care. I'm reflective in two ways: I make sure to acknowledge and respond to those around me, and I continuously evaluate my actions, always looking for ways to improve.
As a designer with a passion for business and entrepreneurship, I am currently reading 'Dear Founder'.
In the design process, user testing and iteration are the most interesting aspects for me, where I eagerly absorb feedback to refine and evolve my designs.
First of all, I will continue to have one or two mentors to speak with, asking them about anything related to the job, skills, and mindset, ensuring I am not on the wrong path. Secondly, I enjoy watching some UX channels or reading books () to understand how senior designers talk about design, adopting their mindset and emulating it myself.
🎓 Previously, I obtained my Bachelor of Psychology at Chung Cheng University (Taiwan) and worked in the tech industry for two years.
🎨 Attending a class on design psychology in college sparked my fascination with UX design. This interest deepened when I participated in the UXPA China design competition, where I experienced the end-to-end design process firsthand and learned numerous research and design methodologies. Inspired by this journey, I made the decision to further my education in the United States, focusing on UX design and technology to enhance my skills and understanding in this field.
I'm passionate about watercolor painting, travel, cuisine, and Japanese animation. I love watching "Haikyu!" and have recently started learning Japanese. I'd be curious to hear about your favorite city and the foods you enjoy. Please don't hesitate to connect with me on LinkedIn or send me an email.
